Beginning in 1900, the Davis Cup, regarded as the "World Cup" of tennis, is an annual knock out event held around the world. The premier international team event in mens tennis, the Davis Cup in 1983 was held in Melbourne, Australia and won by Australia who defeated Sweden in the final.
With wonderful artwork from German painter Konrad Klapcheck, this rare and beautiful poster is one of the greatest in modern sports advertisement.
