1983 Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back NPR Original Vintage Poster
About the Item
Widely regarded as the most beautiful design of the Star Wars series, this original "Style-A" poster created for The Empire Strikes Back is from the original release of the film in 1980. The greatest sequel of all time for many, The Empire Strikes Back (also known as Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back" saw Luke learn the ways of the Jedi under Yoda whilst the growing Galactic Empire pursued Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and the rest of the Rebel Alliance.
This stunning and very rare poster is from the radio adaptation of the film on NPR. The successful adaptation was a 10-part series and first aired in 1983. With artwork from Ralph McQuarrie, whose concept paintings were fundamental to the design of the original film and the entire series, this vibrant poster depicts Yoda in the swampy Dagobah. In mint condition, this is a truly wonderful piece of film and radio advertising history.
