About the Item
The US 1 Sheet for Roman Polanski's 70s neo-noir classic Chinatown is another of those iconic 70s posters. The only well known and appreciated poster by artist Jim Pearsall's, expertly communicates the essence of the film with some wonderfully stylish artwork.
Chinatown starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway sees a private detective (Nicholson) hired to expose an adulterer in 1930s Los Angeles. The detective finds himself caught up in a web of deceit, corruption, and murder.
Comes with fantastic provenance. From the personal collection of someone who worked in the cinema industry for over 60 years in New Zealand. Who started out in the late 50s putting the posters up around town, shortly after as a projectionist and from the 1980s onwards, owner of a number of cinemas themselves.
This vintage movie poster is sized 27 x 41 inches. It will be sent rolled (unframed).

- Condition:Condition Details Originally folded (as issued) but stored flat a long time and folds softened. Will be sent rolled. Extra vertical crease down right hand side. Very light wear and creasing on folds. Light creasing in places. Look fabulous.
