Original vintage winter sport poster for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships held in Zakopane Poland from 18-25 February 1962 / Nordische Skiweltmeisterschaft Zakopane II.1962 Polska featuring a dynamic abstract design depicting a skier skiing down a slope at speed with snow spraying up and various national flags of the competing countries flying on the blue background, the title above and below with the 1919 PZN (Polski Zwiazek Narciarski / Polish Ski Association) and FIS (International Ski Federation) logos. The 1962 championships was won by the Soviet Union with Sweden in second place and Norway in third place; the men's and women's events included individual and relay cross-country and Nordic skiing as well as ski jumping.
