Framed Chemist Advert
About the Item
This wonderful 19th century chemist advert, by Pears, depicts 5 men with different ailments affecting their: feeling, hearing, seeing, smelling and tasting. These are engraved on the original wooden frame which is also stamped by the framers' from Market Place, Diffield, near York. The paintings are full of character and each section is signed Pears in the top corner. A perfect piece for commercial settings or even a quirky addition to a snug or drawing room.
