An incredibly rare and charming British Double Crown poster for the 1967 Walt Disney animated classic 'The Jungle Book,' based on Rudyard Kipling's 1894 book of the same name, and the last Disney feature to be produced under Walt's supervision. The film has been widely acclaimed by animators such as Eric Goldberg, who declared that it "boasts possibly the best character animation a studio has ever done". With the tagline "The swingingest... singingest of them all!" this lively poster for the original British release heralds the vibrant animation and catchy tunes that make the fun-filled film such a crowd-pleasing classic. Original vintage 'Jungle Book' posters have become a perennial favourite for decorating children's nurseries and playrooms.
CONDITION
Archivally backed on linen with no restoration. Backing has smoothed and diminished one vertical and three horizontal folds, minor edge wear and an 8in. tear extending from left edge and curving past the elephant's trunk. A few tiny surface scuffs. Colours excellent. Printed in England by S. & D. S. LTD.
