About the Item
Original Italian film poster for Mr. Deeds Goes to Town. This 1936 American romance comedy was directed by Frank Capra. The cast includes Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur. It tells the story of Longfellow Deeds (Gary Cooper), who lives in a small town and leads a simple life, until he inherits a huge fortune from a relative. On moving to the city he becomes the immediate focus of all those trying to take advantage of him. This exceptionally rare Italian poster is the only example to have surfaced to-date.
This poster is conservation linen backed and it would be shipped rolled in a very strong tube and sent by Federal Express.

- Condition:Repaired: This piece is in excellent condition, with the colour remaining very bright with only very minor restoration to folds. This is quite standard as this piece was distributed folded. There are a couple of minor surface marks in the bottom black area of the poster just above the border.
