Original 1960's Travel Coach Poster
About the Item
Coach firms had a captive market before the advent of mass car ownership and these charming panel posters were an attractive advertising tool. This 1960's poster is by Edward Clarke and is promoting coach holidays around Britain. It colourfully illustrates the trips in the form of a concertina leaflet. Destinations include Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, The Scottish Highlands, The Grampians and John of Groats, The South of England, Wales and Eire, Northern Ireland, Jersey and The Isle of Man. This would have been a generic poster used by many of the local bus companies, in this case United.
This vintage poster is in good condition and is linen backed to allow ease of handling and framing. It will be rolled and sent in a sturdy tube.
