Original vintage British Railways poster - Track Laying By Night - featuring a stunning industrial image of men working by overhead lights and lanterns laying new railway tracks under the night sky with the title text and British Railways logo on the margin below. Artwork by the notable British artist Terence Cuneo (1907-1996) who was appointed the official artist at Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953 and is most well known for his equestrian, military and railroad paintings (many of which were used as posters to promote British Railways). Published by the Railway Executive. Printed by Waterlow and Sons Limited, London and Dunstable. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, restored tears on image, restored paper losses, backed on linen.
