Original vintage LMS train travel poster issued by the London Midland and Scottish Railway - The Lake District For Holidays - featuring scenic artwork by the British painter John Edmund Mace (1889-1952) showing two people relaxing and enjoying the view by a tree on the side of a lake in the foreground, a lady in a white dress and hat standing and the other person sitting on the grass, the trees reflected on the water and a man standing on a rock with a sailing boat visible in the distance, the colourful hills and mountains in the background and the bold title text on the margin below. Printed by John Horn Limited London and Glasgow. Good condition, restored creasing, restored tears, small restored paper losses, minor staining, backed on linen.
