Original vintage travel advertising poster for a London tour guide - Visitor's London - by the notable graphic designer Frederic Henri Kay Henrion (1914-1990) featuring a surreal mid-century illustration of a figure in shades of black and white with a red London Underground roundel logo as its mouth and an upside-down Eiffel Tower inside its body, an open Visitor's London book running through the middle with an illustration of Buckingham Palace in shades of yellow and guards in uniform marching and standing on the sides against the blue shaded background with buildings, the river, fields and railway lines and the text in French below - Un Parisian arrivant de Calais Voulait vous, avant tout, les Palais Mais son chemin perdu, Il se trouve a Kew / A Parisian arriving from Calais Wanted to see, above all, the palaces But lost his way He can be found in Kew - and in English/French - Il should have acheted un copy de Visitor's London qui gives tout les reponses et costs 4/6.
