Original vintage General Post Office advertising poster - Hambledon Village the Cradle of Cricket Correct Address: Hambledon, Portsmouth, Hants Please use your Correct Address - featuring artwork by John Elwyn (1916-1997) depicting a view of the historic rural village of Hambledon in Hampshire England with fields in the distance, the stylised lettering on the blue border with the GPO logo below. Founded in 1750 Hambledon Cricket Club developed the rules of cricket (located near the Bat & Ball pub where the modern sporting laws of the game were drafted). Very good condition, minor creasing, small tears.
