Original vintage poster issued by the Empire Marketing Board EMB to encourage people to help the economy following the Great Depression in America by buying British goods - Buy British from the Empire at Home & Overseas - featuring a dynamic design by notable British artist Tom Purvis (1888-1959) depicting a silhouette in red and black of a man working with the EMB crown logo and bold text below. The Empire Marketing Board (EMB 1926-1933) was formed to promote intra-Empire trade. Printed for HM Stationery Office by Waterlow and Sons Ltd London Dunstable and Watford. Very good condition, creasing.
