Original vintage Shell poster from their Everywhere You Go You Can Be Sure of Shell advertising campaign featuring a great painting by Walter James Steggles (1908-1997) entitled The Thames at Cookham depicting a view of a tree lined River Thames with the tower of the historic Holy Trinity Church visible through the trees on the other side of the calm reflective water below dramatic clouds in the blue sky. Printed by Vincent Brooks Day and Son Ltd London. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, repaired tears, staining, foxing, backed on linen.
