Original vintage poster issued by the Empire Marketing Board (EMB 1926-1933): Herring Drifters In The North Sea featuring stunning artwork by the British painter, illustrator and poster artist Charles Pears (1873-1958) depicting fishermen on steam drifter fishing boats with tall funnels and mizzen sails throwing long fishing nets into the sea lit up by the starry sky above. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Roberts & Leete Ltd London. Horizontal. Fair condition, restored paper losses on corners, restored tears, staining, restored paper skimming, creasing, backed on linen.
