Original vintage travel poster for La Champagne featuring a great illustration by Adrien Senechal (1895-1974) of ladies in yellow dresses with bonnet hats and red scarves picking grapes in a vineyard with a lady in the foreground smiling towards the viewer and holding a basket of grapes in one arm, the rolling green hills leading to a windmill in the distance and the title text in bold lettering below. The historical province of Champagne in northeast France is best known as the Champagne wine region for sparkling white wine drink that bears its name. Very good condition, restored creasing, minor foxing, backed on linen.

a.k.a. as Se´ne´chal, Adrien. Adrien Sénéchal is a French painter, born in Reims on July 5 , 1895where he died on August 28, 1974. Adrien Sénéchal produced a large number of posters and portraits. His series of 18 pastels representing the fire of the cathedral of Reims was presented in Paris, in 1919, In 1925, he decorated entirely the chapel of the Daughters of Charity, rue Féry in Reims, painting and furniture design,
