Original vintage Soviet travel poster issued by Intourist in English and German - USSR Country of 189 Peoples Land Der 189 Volker - with the letters USSR down the side and the bold text between three illustrations of people on different colourful backgrounds featuring traditional textile patterns. Artwork by the notable artist Nikolai Zhukov (1908-1973) and Sergei Sakharov (1906-1969). Formed in 1929 Интурист / Intourist was the state travel agency for foreign tourists visiting the Soviet Union. Printed in Soviet Union Vneshtorgisdat, Moscow. Fair condition, staining, creasing, tears, paper losses.
