Original vintage travel advertising poster issued by French Railways SNCF to promote its services to the south of France - Go by train to the Basque Coast - featuring a colourful design by Jean Jacquelin (1905-1989) depicting a stylised view over the coast with holidaymakers sunbathing on the long sandy beach and swimming in the sea under a bright shining sun behind the hills in the distance, and people enjoying sport between the trees including a man playing a Basque pelota ball game, two people playing polo on horses and a lady playing golf in the foreground, the text below. Printed in France for and by the French National Railways by Hubert Baille Paris. Good condition, restored paper losses in top right corner, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
