Original vintage train travel poster for Tandil F.C.S. Las Sierras Distraccion y Salud / The Mountains Relaxation and Health featuring a scenic Art Deco view of the edge of a building in front of hills glowing red with shadows in the light below the blue sky, a silhouette of trees in the foreground and the bold green and orange lettering on the border below. Founded in 1823 the city of Tandil in Argentina is located in the Buenos Aires Province near the Tandilia hills. The British owned Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway / Ferrocarril del Sud (FCS) was founded in 1862; the branch line connecting Tandil to the network was opened in 1883; the company was merged into the state owned Ferrocarriles Argentinos in 1948.
