Original vintage travel advertising poster, “Fly by BOAC South America”. British Overseas Airways corporation in association with Qantas Empire Airways Limited, South African Airways, Tasman Empire Airways Limited. Colourful view of a busy street lined with Art Deco buildings, skyscrapers and palm trees, an elegantly dressed lady in a bright dress and sun hat, men in suits and more people and Classic cars below the blue sky with a plane flying overhead, the image framed like a postage stamp with the text above and below in stylised letters. (The British Overseas Airways Corporation / BOAC was the British state airline created in 1940-1946 as the result of a merger, merging again in 1971-1974 to create British Airways / BA.) Good condition, restore tears on margins, staining on top of the image, backed on linen.
