Original vintage travel advertising poster - Around the World Eastward or Westward with NYK Line - featuring a stunning streamlined Art Deco design by the Swedish artist Gosta Georgii Hemming (1910-1986) depicting a steamship sailing at speed against a sky blue background, the bold text above and below with stylised blue sea waves. Founded in 1885 the Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha / Japan Mail Shipping Line is a Japanese shipping company providing passenger and cargo transport services. Printed by Shueisha Printing Co Ltd Japan. Good condition, pinholes, restored tears, restored creasing, restored folds, backed on linen.
