Original vintage travel advertising poster for the Open Air Festival Plays of Szeged in Hungary from 23 July to 15 August 1938 featuring a great image depicting a view of the Votive Church and Cathedral of Our Lady of Hungary with the title text, dates, Transcontinent travel and tourist agency Budapest main office, ticket information, reduced railway and motor coach fares and other details below. First held in 1931 the Szeged Open Air Theatre Festival is now one of the main annual summer attractions in the city; due to the outbreak of World War Two this event in 1939 was the last to be held until it was resumed in 1959. Good condition, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
