Original vintage PanAm travel poster for Brazil Carnival in Rio Pan American World's Most Experienced Airline featuring colourful artwork by William Linzee Prescott (1917-1981) depicting a cartoon style man in uniform and a stylised bull looking up at an image of of a busy carnival scene full of people in flamboyant costumes and festival masks walking and dancing along the wavy design mosaic Copacabana beach pavement with banners and decorations in front of Sugarloaf Mountain and fireworks in the background, a fun quote as the thought of the man in stylised lettering reading: Caracoles Senhores! Another Pan American plane arrives! They bring so many visitors I fear Rio will sink into the sea from their weight! Good condition, several restored paper losses on right edge, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
