About the Item
Original vintage travel poster - Matson Lines Hawaii - featuring a colourful image of a smiling surfer in red and white swimming shorts riding the waves in front of surfers in a traditional outrigger surfing canoe and the volcanic Diamond Head mountain in the distance, a fish and coral under the water next to the red stylised title text and an image of a Matson Lines cruise ship on the side. Artwork by the American artist Frank H. McIntosh (1901-1985). The Matson Navigation Company was founded 1882 and is headquartered in Honolulu Hawaii providing ocean shipping services; now Matson Inc. Excellent condition, backed on linen.
