About the Item
Original vintage train travel poster - Chemins de Fer du Maroc - featuring a stunning image by the poster designer and sculptor Maurice Guiraud-Riviere (1881-1967) depicting people sitting by the side of a city wall tower and more people in white robes visible through the red gateway arch with palm trees below the pale blue sky. Established in 1920 the Moroccan Railway Company / Compagnie des Chemins de Fer du Maroc was a French colonial company that merged to form the National Railways Office / ONCF Office National des Chemins de Fer in 1963. Printed by H. Chachoin, Paris. Good condition, restored tears, paper loss in bottom right corner, staining, backed on linen.
