Original vintage travel poster for New Guinea issued by Qantas Airways featuring a traditional style image of a man against a pink shaded background. Part of Melanesia the island of New Guinea is located in the Pacific Ocean to the north of Australia. Founded in 1920, Qantas (Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd aka "The Flying Kangaroo") is the national flag carrier of Australia; the airline started international flights in 1935 and is one of the oldest airline companies in the world. Silkscreen printed. Good condition, restored paper skimming, backed on linen.
