About the Item
Original vintage travel poster to promote the Moscow Theatre Festival 1-10 September 1935 issued by the Soviet state travel company Intourist for display in travel agencies and USSR embassies in English speaking countries. Fantastic Constructivist style design with a strong Art Deco influence by the notable Soviet artist Nikolai Zhukov (1908-1973) featuring an orchestra music conductor on a stage raising his baton in front of a red curtain to start a performance with the text above in English and Intourist logo on the gold background across the bottom. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, creasing, backed on linen.
