Original vintage World War Two poster - Blood donors are needed urgently to save lives Emergency blood transfusion service - featuring a modernist design by the notable British graphic designer Abram Games (Abraham Gamse; 1914-1996) depicting a dramatic illustration of a soldier wearing a military helmet with his head tilted back, a red and pink shaded curved line as a medical blood drip with the rest of the text diagonally across and in bold lettering below. Issued by the Ministry of Health to encourage people on the home front to donate blood and save lives during the war. Printed for HM Stationery Office by Lowe and Brydone Printers Ltd, London. Good condition, creasing, folds, small tears, pinholes, minor staining.
