About the Item
Original vintage winter sport and skiing travel poster for Austria. Great design depicting a fun and romantic image of a pair of ski poles leaning into each other with the faces of a smiling man and lady on the handles at the top, the lady featuring a love heart shaped mouth with her eyes closed and the pole straps wrapped around each other like a couple hugging with a yellow flower tucked into their straps, the snowy mountains in the background and a ski lift, trees and village below with a church and snow topped buildings and a couple on the mountain pointing towards the peaks in the distance, their footprints visible in the snow and a sun shining brightly in the blue sky. Design by Walter Hofmann (1906-1975). Printed in Austria for the Austrian Federal Government by Josef Eberle, Vienna. Good condition, creasing, tears, minor staining.
