About the Item
Original French film poster for the 1943 film Tarzan Triumphs.
This adventure film was directed by Wilhelm Thiele, and was based on the characters created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Johnny Weissmuller plays Tarzan, as he fights the Nazis paratroopers who have landed in the city of Palandria. Johnny Weissmuller is best known for portraying Tarzan. Pierre Segogne (1890-1958) beautifully captures Tarzan with his cheeky chimp in this beautiful French poster used for the films first French release in 1947. This poster is exceptionally rare and has only surfaced a few times.
This poster is conservation linen-backed and would be shipped rolled in a strong tube.
