This is an original World War II Marines recruitment poster, by Dickson and issued in 1941. The poster depicts a uniformed Marine beckoning at the viewer to follow him. The persuasive text "Let’s Go!” is printed in large red italics at top. At center, the text “on LAND, at SEA, in the AIR” is a reference to the first stanza of the Marines Hymn, the oldest official song in the U.S. Armed Forces.
