About the Item

Hand coloured, framed copper engraving "Fuhrwerk II" published by Winkelmann and Sons in Berlin in the mid-19th century. The print shows the vehicles of that time, four different carriages with horses and people. The picture allows us to immerse ourselves in everyday life in the mid-19th century. As evidence of that time, we can not only draw conclusions about the vehicles of that time, but also about the fashion, the way of life and the architecture. The publishing house Winkelmann and Sons existed from 1830-1930 and produced, among other things, peep boxes that were coveted by many collectors. The engraving has been carefully framed and can also be easily integrated into a modern interior. The sheet was once stored folded and therefore shows clear signs of wear and creases.
