Artist: Cornelis de Bruijn (or de Bruyn); 1652 – 1726/7 was a Dutch artist and traveler. He made two large tours and published illustrated books with his observations of people, buildings, plants and animals. This original copper engraving is a view of Alexandria. Size: 64 x 23 cm. (25 x 9 inches). Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt. It was founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC.. It is on the Mediterranean Sea, only 225 km (140 miles) northwest of Cairo. Alexandria has 3.8 million people nowadays. It is the main port of Egypt. The condition of the print is good. Folding lines as issued. Study image carefully.
