Hooper & Berwick's Swans by Benjamin Fawcett, 1851

Pair of hand colored engravings by Benjamin Fawcett from “A History of British Birds” by Francis Orpen Morris and published by Groombridge & Sons, London. The prints are accompanied on the reverse with the text from Morris' monograph on the related specimen. Fawcett was a color printer, wood-engraver, draughtsman and bookbinder; active in Yorkshire; and from 1844 he collaborated with Reverend Francis Orpen Morris. Both engravings are mounted on an archival deep bevel mats and are framed under UV filtering plexiglass. London, England, 1851.
