Signed to the lower left, this vibrant piece depicts a composition replete with colorful abstract objects floating upon a bright red ground. The serigraph is stamped “Les Editions De La Tortue Paris” and signed “La Baule Blanc” in graphite verso. Numbered “99/100” and signed “Lanskoy 69” to the lower left. The print is unframed. Born in Moscow, Lanskoy moved to Paris in 1921 to study at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere. During this time he also studied under Sergei Jur'evic Sudejkin. In 1924, Lanskoy exhibited at the Salon d'Automne where he attracted the interest of the German art collector and art dealer Wilhelm Uhde, who was known as one of the earliest collectors of Cubist paintings by Pablo Picasso...Category
