About the Item
This large color etching is part of a large collection of works that we are listing on 1stdibs this week by well listed NYC artist Theodore Roszak. They have excellent provenance, and are from collection of Dr. Henry and Mrs. Adeline Janowitz of New York, who were personal friends of Roszak's. Many of the works are inscribed with personal notes from Roszak to them. Theodore Roszak's works are included in most major museums, including The Metropolitan and MOMA. The work offered in this listing is a large color etching with hand-coloring on paper, entitled "Haunted Sleep", circa 1974. Signed, titled, numbered and inscribed to lower margin ‘2/50 Theodore Roszak 1974’. It is number two from an edition of fifty.
