About the Item
Vintage Architectural Photographic Print
Sladden (1933-2020) originally trained as an Architect at the RWA (Royal West of England Academy) he later moved into sculpture and then abstract painting always being influenced by modernist architecture.
These photographs were taken at Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. There is a direct correlation between, these large distorted photographic prints and what he was painting at the time.
Coming framed from the artist’s estate he clearly saw these photographs as works of art in their own right and not just preliminary sketches.
c. 2000 in date.
Framed and glazed in a complimentary and simple wooden frame.
In excellent vintage condition with only minor wear and tear as can be seen in photos..
