Vintage Brass Chinese Hardware Longevity Shadow Box
About the Item
A beautiful vintage shadowbox of solid brass hardware. The exceptionally large gourd-shaped door plate is prominently featured, displaying great details of a finely engraved longevity theme. Anchoring the art is the God of Longevity holding a gourd with his boy consort and a deer. Above them auspicious clouds, evergreen pines and flying cranes. The entire depiction supports one auspicious theme that is "Good health and long life". This piece of art is mounted in a beautiful shadowbox with layers of gold custom mattings. A solid 2" high brass hanger completes the traditional, elegant look. This piece is in good vintage condition and ready to hang. Some dusts on the inside of the glass due to age. Weight 4.1 lbs.
