Vintage Chinese Brass Fan Hardware Shadow Box
About the Item
A vintage shadowbox of solid brass hardware. The exceptionally large fan-shaped door plate is prominently featured, displaying great details of a finely engraved celestial scene. Pavilions with immortals standing in the court yard looking out to the heavenly scene, misty mountains under auspicious clouds, evergreen trees. Engraved Chinese characters are from a famous poem describing "Moon Brighter during Mid Autumn". This piece of art is in good vintage condition despite some interior dust. It is ready to hang with a solid brass 2" high hanger. Weight 6.5 lbs.
