Large George III Period Chinese Chippendale Mahogany Fretwork Hanging Shelf
About the Item
A fine George III period hanging shelf with fretwork sides and three drawers at the bottom. Four shelves are enlivened by different fret design at each level, the uppermost fitting Neo-Gothic tracery into the tapering silhouette off the sides. Good antique condition, typical signs of age, small restorations, nicely polished and waxed. Fitted with hanging hardware for wall mounting. Ca. 1780’s
