About the Item
A rare and lovely Italian Mezzaro,delle vacchette (with cows) made in Genoa, c. 1830, cotton, block-printed. Some repairs. Mezzari were made in Italy in the Indienne tradition, often in the form of Palampores, as is this one. Note the exuberant floral and bird border. In especially clean and bright condition with some repairs. 92.5” h. x 86.5 w.
