The Bayeux Tapestry is a 70-meter-long and 50 cm tall embroidery depicting the story of the Battle of Hastings in 1066. William the Conqueror invaded England from Normandy and defeated King Harold. The tapestry chronicles the Norman conquest of England, including the embarkation, landing, and the Battle of Hastings. The illustrations include brief explanations in Latin. This particular section represents a part of the Norwegian fleet.
