Bobyrug’s Nice French Hand Printed Medieval Design Tapestry

About the Item

"Discover the exquisite charm of this Midcentury French hand printed tapestry featuring a delightful design depicting the Hopscotch game and fruit picking. A true gem from the Tenture de la Noble Pastorale, this piece adds a touch of medieval elegance to any space." It’s an reproduction of a medieval tapestry, This tapestry is part of a series of three pieces, commonly called The Noble Pastoral tapestry: "pastoral" because it describes various activities of shepherds and shepherdesses, and "noble" because it mainly depicts young lords and nobles ladies playing shepherds. These "sheepfolds" were very fashionable at the end of the Middle Ages throughout Europe, because they were both eminently decorative and less expensive to make than the large historiated suites.
