French Point de Loiselles Tapestry Le Jardin De Bagatelle
About the Item
A large French Point de Loiselle Renaissance style tapestry, or wall hanging, entitled "Le Jardin de Bagatelle" after a fresco over a fireplace at the Château de Fontainebleau near Paris. Depicting a garden with a fountain and a large urn of fruit, and having an elaborate border with two ornate columns, garlands and swags. Vibrant color in yellow, red and green and blue. Gold cotton backing with sewn pole pocket along the top. Mechanically woven. Original label. Circa 1970s. Rod is not included. Tapestry will be folded for shipping.
