Large verdure wool and silk tapestry with fine floral border, Brussels, circa 1750. The foreground with birds mid-flight, watched from below by a heron stood amongst irises and other flowers in the middle of a dense forest. A gap in the foliage reveals a lake or river before a faint town, with towers and a church spire visible in the centre. In rich green and blue tones, with original floral border.
