About the Item
Sublime tapestry from the Gobelins factory dating from the 16th century,
Representation of the birth of Hercules, a famous character from Roman mythology. Hercules holds two snakes in his hands like toys. His parents are next to his cradle as well as several angels. A garland of fruit is depicted all around the work.
