19 Century Grand Tour Bronze Neoclassical Bas-Relief

About the Item

A Grand Tour heavy bronze bas-relief of a classical scene showing a retinue of six figures consisting of two nude standing males and three classically draped maidens including Athena wearing her characteristic Corinthian Helmet . In between Athena and the last maiden is a winged Cupid holding his bow. The bronze is set in an original robust stepped oak frame.
