19th Century Grand Tour Majolica English Trapezophorus Tripod Pedestal
About the Item
A very large Majolica Grand Tour pedestal having dark green glazing; the circular top (detachable) supported by Trapezophorus tripod base after the Roman. original found in Hadrian's Villa. The whole is set on sit on a stepped triangular base. The stand was likely made either in the English Minton factory in the late 19th century.
