Curl Contemporary Wall-Mounted Sculpture in White Plaster, Hannah Woodhouse

An influential figure in lighting design, Woodhouse has exhibited for many years at Sotheby’s London galleries and her lights adorn some of the world’s most sumptuous interiors. Inspired by mid 20th Century European sculpture, Woodhouse creates her range of hand made contemporary wall lights, wall sconces and made-to-order table and floor lights in bronze, plaster, faux bronze and jesmonite (bio resin). Each wall sconce is hand made by husband and wife duo Hannah Woodhouse and William Denniston in their London studio. They can create custom pieces for yachts, hotels and commercial projects. They also offer plaster casting workshops in the London studio - you can cast maquettes (small sculptural models) of their iconic wall sconces. The sculptural plaster wall sconces are shipped in a matt, ultra smooth soft white plaster. However the plaster wall lights can be customised to a colour of your choice - for this there is a small additional charge and you will need to supply a paint colour reference. The cost of bespoke colouring the plaster wall sconces varies, depending on the number of lights ordered, and is quoted on an individual order basis. Woodhouse’s passion for sculpture can be traced back to the year she spent working in Paris, living in the household of Henri Cartier-Bresson and his wife Martine Franck. Her expressive range of lights and candlesticks draw on the aesthetic influences of mid 20th century European sculpture, hence the name "art wall lights".
