A remarkable, one-of-a-kind, hand-carved, gessoed, 22k gold gilded, hand-painted, foliate embellished serpentine, crest-form, 19th century, convex Italian frame inset with ink-on-vellum images of 24 papal crests. The full set wasn't completed by the previous owner, but is a reflection of a true labor of love or perhaps a genealogical study.
